First of all a very happy new year to you, you family/friends and everyone at Nyatri Foundation.
It was a pleasure to hear through my good old friend Mr. Lobsang Choedhar regarding your willingness to help an earthquake affected Tibetan institution. All throughout Nepal, I can say without second thought that our institution (Srongtsen Bhrikuti Boarding High School based in Kathmandu) have been affected the most among other bodies of Tibetan community. Two of our school buildings were affected; the classroom building and the administrative block were not livable. With help from our decades old friends and NGOs and some new caring NGOs like yours and few others, we were able to start the retro fit repair of the two buildings. Beginning from 31st May until the 31st of December our kids had classes running in makeshift rooms and tarps. Despite the blockade the repair works are being carried on in full speed. The students are now on winter holidays. They will be back by the second week of February and with help from you and other friends and NGOs, it will be very soothing to see our students enter into a safe and comfortable classrooms once again!!
